Sony launches cheaper A75L OLED TVs

29 Sep 2023 | Rasmus Larsen |

In addition to its A95L QD-OLED and A80L OLED models, Sony will make the A75L OLED available in as a limited model starting at $1600 in 55 inches.
Update: Sony Europe tells FlatpanelsHD that it currently has no plans to launch A75L in Europe.
The new A75L, which has so far been confirmed for the US, will be available in 55 and 65 inches only. A75L has a lower starting price than the existing A80L but still comes with most of the same features.

It features the LG Display 4K OLED panel, HDR support (HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision), Sony's own Cognitive Processor XR and two HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K120 and VRR. In addition, it offers Google TV and Sony's Bravia Core movie app, Apple AirPlay 2, the new Game Menu, and Sony's unique Acoustic Surface Audio speaker system built into the actual OLED panel.

However, the speaker system in A75L has only two actuators as opposed to three in A80L. A75L also has a different design with a fixed stand and lacks a built-in microphone for "Hey Google" commands. Sony A75L is available now in the US in 55 and soon in 65 inches with suggested retail prices of $1600 and $2000 dollars, but we expect the prices to fall in the near future as we head towards the busy holiday shopping season. FlatpanelsHD is following up with Sony regarding launch plans for other regions.
