Sony's second-generation QD-OLED TVs, A95L, are finally available in the US, the UK, Germany and other major regions in 55, 65 and for the first time 77 inches.
Sony A95L was supposed to arrive earlier but was delayed due to a software issue. The company's latest firmware includes the necessary fix.
A95L features the second-generation QD-OLED panel from Samsung Display with higher color brightness in each RGB pixel, which also leads to higher peak brightness overall. The new panel is said to be more efficient resulting in lower average power consumption compared to the 2022 panel.

77 inches and Pentonic 1000
A95L is the first QD-OLED model from Sony to be available in 77 inches, in addition to 55 and 65 inches – just like Samsung's S95C. QD-OLED competes with MLA OLED technology in LG G3, Philips OLED908 and Panasonic MZ2000.
In addition, A95L is Sony's first TV model with the upgraded Pentonic 1000 SoC from MediaTek. The chip is faster and provides support for Dolby Vision at up to 4K 120Hz with game consoles. A95L also features Sony's 'Cognitive Processor XR' and the Bravia Core (soon Sony Pictures Core) streaming app, which delivers Sony Pictures movies in up to 80 Mbps video bitrate.
