QD-OLED technology is advancing further next year, and MSI will be among the first to offer gaming monitors based on Samsung Display's new 32-inch and 27-inch flat QD-OLED panels.

MSI's plans were leaked last month and the company has now officially announced the four new flat QD-OLED monitors:

- "For flat panel models that gamers have been eagerly anticipating, we've prepared a variety of models, ranging from 27" WQHD to 32" WUHD models that have refresh rates of up to 360Hz. Our new QD-OLED flat displays significantly enhance the visuals performance for AAA games, especially those of the FPS genre," announced MSI.

First 360Hz OLED monitors
As previously noted by FlatpanelsHD, these are the first 360Hz OLED monitors, and we anticipate that they will match or surpass a 500Hz LCD panel in terms of speed. On top of that, we get deep blacks, a wider color gamut, and true HDR highlights.

These four new flat monitors join MSI's previously announced curved 34-inch MAG 341CQP and 49-inch MPG 491CQP QD-OLED monitors featuring a 144Hz refresh rate.

The monitors come equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports with 48 Gbps bandwidth, VRR and ALLM, which automatically switches in and out of Game mode. MSI said that the new flat QD-OLEDs feature a console mode for optimized use with PlayStation and Xbox.

- "All products come with MSI OLED Care 2.0, featuring the latest fan-less design to extend the lifespan of OLED panels. These models also come with a variety of features such as MSI Gaming Intelligence, 90W Type-C PD connectivity, and MSI Console Mode."

Dell also recently announced similar QD-OLED gaming monitors. However, it is worth noting that the Dell Alienware 32-inch QD-OLED is curved, in contrast to MSI's flat version.

Expect more announcements at CES 2024 in January.
