In addition to FaceTime, owners of Apple TV 4K can now use Zoom and soon Webex for video meetings at home or in the office.
With the release of tvOS 17 in mid-September, Apple TV 4K gained support for camera apps via the Continuity Camera on an iPhone and iPad connected wirelessly to Apple TV 4K. It works with the Apple TV 4K 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen.
Together with tvOS 17, Apple enabled FaceTime on Apple TV 4K.
Zoom available now
The popular Zoom app is now also available on Apple TV 4K, allowing you to start or join video meetings with gallery views and screen sharing. It works cross-platform, i.e. PC, phones and tablets.
The free Zoom app for Apple TV 4K is a separate listing from the regular Zoom app. Listed as 'Zoom – for Home TV', it can be found in the app store or on this link.

Webex coming soon
Cisco announced in late October that its Webex video conferencing app will be available on Apple TV 4K "soon".
- "Webex makes hybrid work seamless, enabling collaboration from anywhere, at any time, simply. Soon, the Webex app will be available for download on the Apple TV App Store. After installing the Webex app on Apple TV 4K, users simply scan the QR code with iPhone for a seamless login experience. They can then take advantage of the big screen, whether it’s in your living room or the office," announced Cisco.

With FaceTime, Zoom and soon Webex available on Apple TV 4K, it has gotten easier to make video calls on the big screen at home or in the office. It currently requires a companion iPhone or iPad but Apple is rumored to be working on a combined Apple TV and HomePod with built-in camera and microphone.
