Apparently the TV take's 26 sec to boot up.....is this true?

I'm not sure if it takes 26 seconds but it takes a little longer than on most TVs, yes.

Question: What a PS3 SingStar gaming setup be unusable on a V1 set in gaming mode due to the input lag? I am replacing a Sony Bravia XBR where the input lag is fixed by selecting game mode but would like to know if the V1 perform at the same level?

Yes I believe it would. It is not for gaming, unfortunately.
