Have the 75" 950G and love it. But I agree I wish it had those two features.

Sony has created its own version of ALLM that works with PlayStation. It's not as functional as ALLM but it's a classic Sony move. I think Sony is reserving VRR for its first HDMI 2.1 TVs, but who knows. I think we will learn more at CES 2020.

Sony has a track record of putting advertised features away from customers (like Video & TV SideView app, Opera TV Store a.s.o.) rather than giving them new ones for free. You will have to buy a new TV to get those. 100%.

Sony is having severe financial difficulties!
Sony has no money to invest in TV development every year !!!
