The first pictures of Dell’s new 27 inch screen, Dell U2711, have been leaked. Dell U2711 incorporates the same panel used in the new 27-inch Apple iMac. This means an extremely high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. FlatpanelsHD sneak-peaks on the new Dell U2711 that will be officially launched on CES 2010.

The U2711 review is online now here: Dell U2711 review.

Dell U2711 will be exhibited on this year's CES 2010 trade show in Las Vegas where FlatpanelsHD is on-spot. The first pictures of the screen have already been leaked and it is Engadget that has some hands-on impressions online. Here you see some of the pictures - for more see this Dell U2711 forum thread.

2560 x 1440 resolution

Dell U2711 will have an extreme resolution of 2560x1440 pixels in 16:9 format. The high resolution has previously been exclusive for 30-inch displays, but lately Apple launched their 27-inch iMac, which was the first product to use panel.

Dell U2711 has an IPS panel. The screen will have viewing angles of 178/178 degrees.

Dell has not revealed much about the upcoming 27" U2711 but it is expected that it will have built-in DisplayPort, DVI and HDMI. It is also expected that there will be a USB hub on the side like on the 24-inch U2410 that we recently reviewed.

Dell U2711 has extensive ergonomic options as well with height, tilt and swivel-adjustment. It will not feature a pivot setting, though.

The design is almost identical to Dell U2410.

Calibrated factory settings

24-inch Dell U2410 came pre-calibrated from the Dell factory on the sRGB and AdobeRGB profiles.

We expect that Dell U2711 will feature the same pre-calibrated settings, which ensures a accurate picture for graphics tasks.

Will be exhibited on CES 2010

Dell U2711 will be officially presented at CES 2010, which will take place from 7th of January 2010. FlatpanelsHD will bring you news from CES 2010 with more information on Dell U2711 soon to come.
