Samsung BD-C6900 has just been released and this is the player that can complement your new Samsung 3DTV.

BD-C6900 is Samsung's first 3D Blu-ray player and here we take a look at the model that we used for testing on the Samsung C8000 model.

Samsung BD-C6900
Samsung's first 3D Blu-ray player is called BD-C6900, and it naturally also handles 2D and DVDs. Here a quick look at one of the first 3D Blu-ray players on the market.

<img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/samsungbdc6900_small2.JPG" alt=”Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray" title="Click to enlarge" />
Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray

The player is built in glossy black plastic just like most of the Samsung LCD and plasma-TVs.

<img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/samsungbdc6900_small1.JPG" alt=”Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray" title="Click to enlarge" />
Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray

The player is very streamlined and has few distracting object on the front. The Blu-ray tray is hidden behind a small front on the left side.

<img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/samsungbdc6900_small5.JPG" alt=”Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray" title="Click to enlarge" />
Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray

On the right Samsung has placed a rubber piece and behind it there’s a USB port you can connect a USB key or USB hard drive. One might argue that a better position for the USB port would be on the back of the player. Especially if you want to connect a USB hard drive permanently.

<img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/samsungbdc6900_small3.JPG" alt=”Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray" title="Click to enlarge" />
Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray

On the back of the player we found a HDMI output, and a LAN port for Internet connectivity. BD-C6900 also has built-in Wi-Fi. It also has an optical audio output and 7.1 analogue audio outputs. Finally, it has some different analogue audio and picture plugs, including component.
There is no digital coaxial audio output.

Below you can see the remote control.

<img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/samsungbdc6900_small4.JPG" alt=”Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray" title="Click to enlarge" />
Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray

Samsung BD-C6900 is shipping in most countries. For example on Amazon, that has Samsung BD-C6900 listed.
