LG has showcased an interesting multi-touch plasma-TV at IFA. The TV is controlled with two wireless pens and also has a fully functional web-browser.<br /><p align=center><i>FlatpanelsHD will be in Berlin to cover the world’s largest consumer electronics fair IFA 2010. Starting September 1 through September 10 you can read all about the new products and electronics trends here on FlatpanelsHD. Check out the front page or our <a href=/ifa2010fair.php target=_blank><b>IFA 2010 Coverage site</b></a>. You can also subscribe to our <a href=/newsletter.php target=_blank><b>Newsletter</b></a> or <a href=/rss/news.xml target=_blank><b>RSS feeds</b></a></i>.</p><br /><h3>Mutli-touch plasma-TV</h3>Mobile phones have seen a rapid and consistent transition to multi-touch panels and this has later led to tablets such as the Apple iPad. The next step is the bigger screens such as TVs and at IFA LG exhibited a multi-touch plasma-TV.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/lgtouchplasma-1l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/lgtouchplasma-1.jpg" alt="LG multi-touch plasma-TV" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>LG multi-touch plasma-TV</i></p><br />LG’s multi-touch plasma-TV has a lot of different functions. Firstly, the TV had a blackboard function for drawing and writing. This also makes it an alternative to boards in meeting rooms. The TV also had different photo options and a fully functional internet browser with flash support.<br /><br /><p align=center><a id="thumb" href="pictures/lgtouchplasma-2l.jpg" class="highslide" rel="highslide"><img class="imgresponsive" src="pictures/lgtouchplasma-2.jpg" alt="LG multi-touch plasma-TV" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><br><i>LG multi-touch plasma-TV</i></p><br />Take a look at the video below for a brief introduction to LG's multi-touch plasma-TV that actually reacts quicker and more accurate than most of the other big multi-touch screen we saw at IFA. <br /><p align=center><object width="500" height="306"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VQ52YxNnO3g?fs=1&hl=da_DK"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VQ52YxNnO3g?fs=1&hl=da_DK" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="306"></embed></object></p><br />The screen will be on the market in 2011 and will focus primarily on business applications.
