Samsung will exhibit a massive 110-inch Ultra HD TV at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, according to Korean sources. It is unclear if the TV will be available for sale or just a show-off model.
110” Samsung Ultra HD TV
Not to be outdone by its competitors, Samsung will exhibit a 110-inch Ultra HD – or 4K – LCD TV at CES 2013 in Las Vegas this January, according to a Korean publication. We previously heard rumors about an 85-inch version but Samsung might take it further than that, it seems.
- "At next year's CES that will open on January 8 in Las Vegas, Samsung will have its 110-inch UHD TV on display”
- "Our UHD TV will boast the best-ever definition and a design that you have not experienced before" an unnamed Samsung source says to MK News (translated from Korean).
Samsung’s 75-inch ES9000 non-4K TV launched earlier this year but Samsung has much larger TVs coming
A 110-inch TV is big and paired with 4K resolution it should provide absolutely stunning picture clarity. The source continues and says that Samsung will also unveil new OLED-TVs, which we have already reported.
It has not been confirmed if Samsung intends to sell the TV or if the move is just to reclaim bragging rights. Westinghouse has already teased a 110-inch Ultra HD TV for CES 2013 and it is very likely that Samsung has produced the panel for that TV, too.
