Just two days after LG released the first OLED TV in Europe, Samsung follows suit. Samsung is launching the 55-inch curved OLED TV in 8 European countries on August 28th.

Samsung's curved OLED TV coming to Europe
Samsung will release its curved OLED TV tomorrow in Germany, UK, France, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy. Samsung looks to challenge LG, and with LG only distributing its OLED TV in Germany right now, Samsung seems to have come out on top, despite a few days delay.

Samsung’s curved OLED TV will be available in Europe tomorrow

Samsung’s curved OLED-TV is 55 inches large, and features the same Timeless Frame design as Samsung’s Ultra HD TVs. Speakers have been implemented into the frame, and a small subwoofer is located behind the OLED TV panel. Samsung promises incredible picture quality with almost perfect contrast, vivid colors, and extremely fast response time.

The TV is the first from Samsung equipped with MultiView that allows two viewers to watch two different TV shows on the same TV in full screen with 3D glasses. Headphones have been built into the 3D glasses. Samsung’s Smart TV platform is also integrated, including the Smart Evolution Kit.

Samsung’s OLED TV will be available in Europe on August 28th. Samsung has not disclosed the price, but the TV is currently selling for $9,000 USD in USA.
