Hmm, not great news... I will have to look into that but I don't currently have a Sony TV sample to install Nougat on.

Yesterday, Sony's support page had the following statement available:

"Nougat 7.0 will also be released on our remaining Android TV line-up within the fourth-quarter (Q4) of 2017."

It has since been removed. I'm not sure why.

It's not the Android 7.0 update but Sony has released new firmware for its 2015 and early 2016 Android TVs:
