If you're aiming for the best gaming TV you should prefer plasma TVs because of less blurring on motion and lower input lag.

IPS is a LCD panel technology.

Plasma is onyl available in 37-inches an up - and I think the 37-inch Panasonic plasma's are only available in Europe. Is 42-inches too big? There's not a huge price difference compared to a 37-inch.

in US only 42" and up models but is less expensive than LEDs

I look at the range of 42 inches and $699 price

The viewing angles on plasma TVs are much better than on LCD/LED models, yeah.
