Saw this chart on twitter. Disney still ahead in overall content spending but Netflix is approaching fast.

It's worth noting that 3 of the top 4 content spenders - Disney (with Fox), Comcast (with Universal), AT&T (with HBO, Warner) are planning to launch their own streaming services in the near future. Rumors say that Apple has upped its spending significantly from $1 billion. Discovery is also planning to launch streaming services.

Late 2019 and 2020 will kick off a new phase in the streaming wars.
