One of the new thing to come this year is 3D. The flagship model VT25 will feature the 3D technology from Panasonic that lets you experience the world of 3D with active 3D shutter glasses.
Most 3D cinemas today use the passive 3D polarized glasses but the active shutter glasses will provide ore life-like and intense 3D experiences. Panasonic also says the plasma technology is better than LCD and projectors for fast paced scenes in 3D due to the very low response time.
Panasonic has improved picture quality compared to 2009 models. First of all the NeoPDP technology has been improved in order to output more light at a lower power consumption.
The phosphor layers has also been modified in order to improve response time.

In the summer of 2009 Panasonic acquired the Pioneers KURO technology and patents. Panasonic does not say it directly but they indicate that the KURO technology is part of the 2010 VIERA line-up. A so-called Infinite Black Pro panel increases native (!) contrast to 5.000.000:1.
The flagship ranges from Panasonic will incorporate the THX profile from the V10 last year. This enables users to put the TVs in a THX profile to receive THX certified picture quality just like in the cinemas.
VIERA CAST has been improved as well to give you access to the media world on the internet. Services vary from country to country but Panasonic has mentioned YouTube, Picasa and Eurosport. More services will be announced later on.
Panasonic has incorporated DLNA and USB and this year they’ll support mp3 files. Finally, Panasonic mention that you can plug in a iPod/iPhone dock to playback music and video from your Apple device on the screen.Overview of Panasonic 2010 VIERA line-up
