Gucci wants to release their own sets of 3D glasses that can be used in 3D cinemas. The glasses have been created in collaboration with RealD that also develops 3D systems for cinemas.

Are you tired of the cheap disposable 3D glasses from the cinemas? Then Gucci might have a solution for you if you’re willing to pay the price. Gucci is now releasing their 3D glasses.

The 3D glasses are based on the passive 3D technology that uses polarized systems. In other words this means that you can use them with 3D cinema projectors, but not 3DTVs at home that utilizes the active shutter 3D glasses.

Gucci has designed the glasses and RealD has developed the technology. RealD is also one of the companies that develop 3D systems for 3D cinemas.

The glasses will be available in the US from December and will cost $250. No words on availability outside the US at the moment.
