Roku recently released their new low-price Roku LT streaming box, and is now planning to enter UK and Canada in early 2012.

Roku to enter UK and Canada in 2012

Roku has had a busy year with the introduction of Roku 2 HD, XD and XS this summer and the cheaper-priced LT streaming box. The next step is an international expansion.

The Roku XD streaming box

Roku has officially planned an introduction of their streaming boxes in the UK and Canada for early 2012. At the same time Roku aims to support region-specific channels with video, music, games and other content. One of the most popular services on the Roku platform is Netflix, and with Netflix’s plans to enter the UK, a partnership should form shortly, we hope.

No words on other European countries at this point. Learn more about the latest Roku LT box here.
