Philips 7101 and 6501 received

We have received two of Philips’ 2016 mid-range TVs, namely 7101 and 6501. Both TVs come equipped with 4K panels, Android TV and Ambilight. If there is anything you want us to examine during the review post a comment.

Update: 6501 also has an IPS panel.

Philips 7101 and 6501 received

The two TVs are both mid-range models with 4K, Ambilight and Android TV. The key difference is that 7101 is based on an IPS type LCD panels whereas 6501 is based on a VA type LCD panel. 7101 also comes with 3-sided Ambilight. Android TV runs version 5.1 but version 6.0 will be released through a software update later this year.
