LG will move away from microlenses (MLA) in favor of a new 4-stack OLED panel, available in sizes up to 83 inches for G5 and M5. The TV maker is also introducing its first 100-inch LCD TV and a new remote control, and expanding its wireless box to the QNED9M. Here's LG's 2025 TV line-up.
We have redesigned our TV line-up overview to include more data and technical information (under TV models click on to expand the view). We are also introducing an interactive TV compare tool (use to add TVs to compare tool). It's all powered by the TV Database.
Following up on its B4, C4, G4 and M4 OLED ranges from 2024, LG will launch the B5, C5, G5 and M5 in 2025. These OLED TVs be available in sizes ranging from 42 to 97 inches, although the largest sizes will still be prohibitively expensive and not use the latest OLED panel technology.
What is LG's latest OLED panel technology? The new 4-stack OLED panel features a new Primary RGB Tandem panel structure that not only boosts brightness but also expands the color gamut well beyond DCI-P3, helping it better compete with Samsung's QD-OLED. The 4-stack panel is still WOLED, as it retains an additional white subpixel.

The introduction of the 4-stack WOLED panel means goodbye to microlenses (MLA) – at least for now. More details on the new panel can be found in our article here.
The new panel, which exists in 48 to 83 inches, will be found in G5 and M5. The M5 is a G5 paired with the external wireless Zero Connect box, designed to help declutter your home, or at least the area around the TV.
As for C5 and B5, they will use a standard OLED panel, without MLA or the new 4-stack design. However, the C5 is expected to offer slightly higher brightness compared to last year’s C4, according to LG. The C5 will also feature an upgraded Alpha 9 processor. Meanwhile, the B5 will be available in sizes ranging from 48 to 83 inches.
LG is also considering reviving the wallpaper OLED as the W5, though no official announcement has been made yet.
What else is new for OLED TVs in 2025? LG's G5 will support up to 165Hz and they will all run webOS 25, which will also be available for some older TV models later.
Additionally, LG will ditch its glossy black remote control in favor of a new plastic clicker, as shown on the right. The numbered 1-9 buttons are gone and the volume buttons have been relocated. The new remote is smaller, made of matte plastic, and features an "AI" button that replaces the voice button. This new "AI" button also gives the remote its new name: AI Magic Remote. The input button has also been removed, a change also seen in Samsung's remotes – to some users' dismay.
Alongside the new OLED TVs, LG will introduce several new LCD TV ranges. Only one of them, QNED90A, will feature miniLED zone dimming, but we do not expect it to challenge the current miniLED LCD leaders, Hisense and TCL, in terms of the number of dimming zones. LG will also launch its first 100-inch LCD TV with QNED89A that features some form of LED dimming zones.
Another new development is that LG will bring its wireless Zero Connect box to LCD TVs for the first time with QNED9M. LG will still include both "QNED" and "NanoCell" in its 2025 line-up but note that they are traditional LCD TVs, and many of them even basic LCD models with edge-lit LED and 60Hz panels. Additionally, LG will introduce new entry-level 'UA' ranges, all with webOS 25.
As for webOS 25, new "AI" features include an AI Art generator (available in the US, UK and Korea at launch), an 'AI sound mode', improved voice search, and a refreshed home hub. LG has also partnered with Microsoft to introduce Copilot AI into its 2025 models at a later time. However, webOS continues its push into advertising.
Two other new developments for LG's 2025 TVs include the rollout of the Philips Hue app with ambient light sync and the upcoming launch of the Xbox cloud gaming app.
LG has not announced any new 8K TVs for 2025, though QNED99 8K LCD will carry over in some markets.

LG TVs continue to support three HDR formats (HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision). They do not support Samsung's HDR10+.

All the usual features remain, including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, Wowcast for wireless TV audio with compatible soundbars, HDMI 2.1 QMS, and LG's Gaming Dashboard. On the other hand, LG has abandoned ATSC 3.0 tuners.
You can recognize a LG 2025 model by the number '5' (5 for 2025) in the model name, i.e. C5, so that 5 = 2025, 4 = 2024, 3 = 2023, 2 = 2022, 1 = 2021, X = 2020, 9 = 2019, 8 = 2018, 7 = 2017, 6 = 2016. The new LCD models are designated QNED or UA. A reminder: QNED**A / UA = 2025, QNED**T / UT = 2024, QNED / UR = 2023, QNED / UQ / Nano = 2022, QNED / UP / Nano = 2021, Nano / UN = 2020, SM / UM = 2019, SK / UK = 2018, SJ / UJ = 2017, UH = 2016, UF = 2015, UB = 2014.
The line-up overview will be updated continuously to reflect any changes or new models announced by LG. Once the TVs become available, the model name and size will become an active and clickable link to price comparison or retailers.
